Elegant stoneware vase from Saxbo – design by Lillian Binderup Jensen, 1965
Offered here is a beautiful stoneware vase from Saxbo for the legendary Danish ceramics workshop Saxbo in 1965.
Saxbo – founded by Nathalie Krebs in 1930 – is known for its uncompromising approach to form, function and glaze. The workshop had a strong artistic profile and collaborated with some of the most important Danish ceramists, including Eva Stæhr-Nielsen, Edith Sonne Bruun and, most notably, Lillian Binderup Jensen. Saxbo stoneware is loved and sought after for its simple, modern expression and subtle, experimental glazes in earthy tones.
This vase has the clean lines and harmonious proportions that are so characteristic of Saxbo's designs.
Height: 16 cm
Diameter (bottom): 7 cm
The vase appears in beautiful vintage condition and clearly bears the hallmarks of Saxbo's timeless aesthetics and technical perfection. An ideal piece for collectors and connoisseurs of Danish ceramics - or for those who want a discreet but artistically strong object in their home.
A piece of true Danish design heritage – both beautiful, rare and full of history.
